Adventure Bible for Little Ones, by Katherine DeVries

The Christian literature market for children has been growing in recent decades. One can find Bibles or Bible storybooks for almost every age, which is wonderful. If you are looking for a Bible for toddlers, the Adventure Bible for Little Ones (Zondervan, 2015) is a good choice.

This Bible contains ten stories appropriate for toddlers. Both stories and narrations are short due to the specific needs and limitations of children of that particular age. Materials are very convenient and appropriate for children to manipulate this Bible. The covert feels cushioned and is strong at the same time. The forty pages are made of thick cardboard with rounded corners and feel strong enough (time will tell).

Pictures and figures are very well developed, and colors help to capture the children’s attention. As soon as I opened the box containing the Adventure Bible for Little Ones, my two daughters (5 and 1) put their eyes on the Bible and wanted to read it immediately. That tells me this Bible connects with children right away and they will enjoy reading it.

If you are a pastor and any parent in your congregation asks you to recommend a Bible for toddlers, do not fear to recommend this one. I would also recommend this Bible to parents or relatives who want to make a gift to a little one in your family. If you do not know what to buy to your kids this coming Christmas, you may want to consider this Bible. The price ($6.99 at Zondervan) is very, very accessible to every pocket, and will not affect your budget. You can buy it by clicking this link:

I received this book free from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.
