As Christian parents, we should not spare when it comes to our children’s spiritual development and education. Bibles and devotional books are the best tools we can provide to them for the purpose of instructing them in cultivating the spiritual discipline of study.
I would like to introduce the NIrV Beginner’s Bible Devotional Pack (Zondervan), which contains the very well-known New International Reader’s Version Holy Bible and 365-day devotional book.
The Bible version is the New International Version and is rated to children 6-10. This Bible is not an illustrated Bible, though it contains few illustrations. It contains the full Bible text. That is why it is rated for kids from 6 to 10, because reading skills are necessary. This is a hardcover Bible and feels very strong. Something I particularly like about this Bible is the introduction and outlines of content this Bible offers. That introduces children to the context and main divisions of each book of the Bible.
The other book this pack contains is the Kid-sized devotions book. This book contains 365 devotionals, one for each day of the year. Every devotional comes with a Bible verse and a short devotional based on the verse. Devotionals are illustrated and this book includes the ABC of salvation at the end of it. It also comes with hardcover, which is the most appropriate format for kids, so you do not have to worry if they manipulate the book by themselves.
Christmas is coming and you may be still thinking what to buy to your kids. Well, here you go. This is a pack that will cover two needs; the need of a full-text Bible and the need of a devotional book that may help your kids to get used to a life of daily Bible study.
I highly recommend this pack to every parent who is looking for a Bible for their children on ages 6-10. I would recommend you to buy them even separately. You can buy just the devotional book in case your children already have a Bible, or vice versa.
I received this book free from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.
